Grin offers enhanced dating power

There's usually a fairly strong idea about the traits we want in a date and prospective companion when it comes to dating. Whether the person is in good shape, eats well, or maintains good relations with family and friends, is typically standard.

A new study conducted by Grin Natural Oral Care has found that nearly half of Australians think that good oral health is a highly desirable attribute, but 48 per cent do not think about their date's dental hygiene in the early stages of dating. Oral hygiene is often neglected when it comes to hygiene, and people don't see it as an important trait when looking for a partner, but it's vitally important, says Grin spokesperson Doug Sadler. Because untreated tooth decay may lead to larger issues such as lowered self-esteem, depression, gum disease, and eventual tooth loss if left untreated, it's critical that people take good care of their teeth.

Close to half of respondents said that if they noticed a person with poor oral health, it would be a sure sign that they did not care for their overall health, and 26% thought that a person who was 'unhygienic' would be a sign of poor oral hygiene. This attitude, as well as the data, reflects that people who brush their teeth twice a day are more likely to take care of themselves than those who brush their teeth less frequently. Among Australians, Victorians, and those from New South Wales who brushed their teeth at least twice a day (65%), Western Australians (62%), and Queenslanders (61%) came in second (59% for South Australians).

More than two-thirds of women brush their teeth twice a day, compared to just over half of men, as well as those aged 35 and over.
